“We cannot say that 90% of the delhi people who have been tested have reduce the infection since we also have to report for vaccination. Delhi’s vaccination numbers are very strong. But it is also true that second Covid wave had a destructive impact in Delhi and almost every family were affected. In two months of April and May, the city recorded around 7.5 lakh cases and 13,000 deaths,”

In the past three months, the Covid situation in Delhi has improved notably. Since August, cases reported in a day have remained under 100, and the average positivity rate remains under the concern level.

The average number of people per day test was around 70,000 till September and about 55,000 in October. On Wednesday, 38 Covid new cases were reported at a positivity rate of 0.06% of over 59,000 tests were done, and no deaths were reported.

As many as 73,512 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the city in the last 24 hours. So far, 7,251,851 people have been fully immunizing against the disease, the Delhi health department bulletin on Wednesday showed.
