Tarsame Singh Sain aka Taz who sang Daru Vich Pyaar, Naachege Sari Raat, dies at 54

Tarsame Singh Saini, better known as Taz, reportedly died of liver failure at 54. He is known for his many hit songs like Gallan Gorian, Daroo Vich Pyar, Pyar Ho Gaya, and Nachenge Saari Raat in the 90s.

On 23rd March last month, the official page of Taz's band Stereo Nation shared an update about improvements in his health. A note shared by the accounts read, "Dear All, Taz Sir is no longer in a coma status; he's showing improvements signs every day. The family Taz has thanked everyone for their support and prayers during this tough time. When there is more positive news, The Taz family will let us all fans know. Thanks again for your positive views."

Tarsame Singh Saini shot to fame with the 1989 album Hit The Deck. He delivered several solo hit numbers like Gallan Gorian, Nachenge Saari Raat, and Pyar Ho Gaya in the 90s. Taz also sang for films, including Daroo Vich Pyar for Tum Bin movie, It's magic for Mujhpe To Jadoo for Race, and Koi Mil Gaya. He was known for creating Asian fashion music.

Singer Jay Sean sympathizes with his death on Instagram. Resharing an Instagram post, he wrote, "Very So sad to hear about the passing of this Taz. Taz touched so many lives and continues to as your music lives on. May you rest in peace, bro."

Adnan Sami also tweeted, "Can't believe it!! Extremely Saddened and Shocked… May he Rests in Peace…."

Gurinder Chadha, a Filmmaker, shared a throwback picture with Taz and wrote, "Heartbroken to hear that a pioneer of British Asian music has just left us. You cannot underrate my excitement on first hearing #HitTheDeck. By #jonnyZee then ⁦‪@tazstereonation‬⁩ pure Br'Asian pop fusions. For all the delight you gave me Taz. God Bless you @taz."
