Netflix To Set Up Wholly-owned Post-Production Facility In Mumbai

Netflix is extending its base in India. Over the last few years, the streaming monster entered India by 2016, and after that, it has produced many original series and movies based in India.

Now, Netflix is all set to start its wholly-owned postproduction facility in Mumbai. This facility will give out the global production of live-action movies and series.

Netflix has its Indian HQ in Mumbai. As Mumbai is the land of Indian Cinema as Bollywood and the movie industry's capital, it will be an absolute place for Netflix to run its operations.

According to the stats, this new facility will begin its services by June 2022. It will have 40 offline editing chambers. These will have all the modern, forward technologies that can be flexible and inspiring work environments for show-runners, directors, designers, and editors.

Speaking to The Variety, Netflix India's postproduction director Vijay Venkataramanan said,

This magnificent creative space in Mumbai strengthens our commitment to India's entertainment industry as we continue to empower originators with the best resources to tell great stories.

Netflix is currently prepping up for the release of Tamil biggie Jagame Thandhiram. This Dhanush-star action thriller premieres on June 18.
