Delhi Unlock in Phased Manner

After a period of extended coronavirus lockdown, Market, standalone shops, complexes, and malls in Delhi are set to reopen today after two months (around 51 days), although with some restrictions of odd-even timings.

Delhi is slowly going to ‘unlock path’ as per process some relaxations Wef from June 7, Monday as per directions issued by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. As a result, malls, Market, and standalone shops are set to reopen after (around 51 days), although with some restrictions of odd-even timings.

The Arvind Kejriwal government first imposed the lockdown in Delhi on April 19 after the second wave of Covid 19(Coronavirus pandemic) was on peak in Delhi. After that, the lockdown was extended few times as daily cases were rise.

Daily infected cases declined in number for several days as the decision was taken to unlock Delhi in a phased manner from May 31 gradually, Delhi government chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced.

Shopping Malls, Market complexes, and standalone shops as Delhi Unlocks

The official circular by the Delhi Government that

Market complexes and standalone shops and shops in malls and local shops will open with the restrictions of even-odd and timings from Monday.

Standalone shops can open daily, while supermarkets allow on an “odd-even” basis from 10 am to 8 pm.

As per the circular by the Delhi government, liquor shops are ruled out of the list in the first curfew order dated April 19, 2021. hence it will be allowed on an even-odd basis and within specific timings.

Construction work, and factories, Government and private offices relaxations as Delhi Unlocks

The two sectors to be granted exemption from the lockdown and resumed services on May 31 were Construction and factory works.

Resume of E-commerce service with status as quo has been ordered on all remaining activities.

Offices in Delhi have also been allowed- With Grade A government officers to work with 100% capacity.

While officer below Grade-A allowed by 50% strength capacity.

Delhi Metro to run(resume) with 50% capacity in Delhi Unlock

Delhi Metro, which was discontinued since May 10, will also resume services with 50% capacity, as announced by Kejriwal. However, in a tweet, the Delhi metro rail corporation also stated that only 50 percent of trains will be available into service from June 7, 2021, and will run at a frequency range between 5 to 15 minutes on separate lines.

Delhi metro train will initiate full strength from June 9. After that, services will be available as per regular frequency. They were running before the lockdown came into effect at 10 pm on April 19, 2021, after declaring earlier in the day, the DMRC added.
