Ujjwala Scheme 2.0 to launch Today PM Modi

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start Ujjwala 2.0 scheme by providing LPG cylinder connections to beneficiaries from Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba. During the event, scheduled at 12:30 pm via video conferencing, PM Modi will interact with the beneficiaries and address the nation.

The beneficiaries will receive LPG gas cylinder connections. The Ujjwala Scheme 2.0 launch will take place virtually from Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba at 12:30 pm.

The Prime Minister's Office had informed in a statement On Sunday that the prime minister would start the second installment of the scheme on August 10. "During Ujjwala 1.0 established in 2016, a picking out provides LPG connections to five crore women members of BPL households. Subsequently, the scheme was expanding to include women beneficiaries from seven more categories.

Ujjwala 1.0 was launched in May 2016. Since its launch, it has ensured life of dignity to our citizens, especially women. In August 2019, the target of 8 crore connections was completed 7 months before the decided time frame.

The statement had read.

In Union Budget for 2021-22, an additional one crore LPG connections under the scheme was declaring. These different connections aim to provide deposit-free PG connections to those low-income families who could not be payable under the trial stage,"

The statement further says that Ujjwala 2.0 would also provide the receiver the first refill and hotplate free-of-cost. The enrolment procedure will require paperwork as low as possible.

It said.

"Ujjwala 2.0 will help reach the Prime Minister's vision of universal gain to LPG cylinder,"

Hardeep Singh, Puri Union petroleum minister, and Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh chief minister, will also be present at the opening observance.

Ujjwala Yojana, or PMUY (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana), was started in 2016 by PM Modi as a lead plan. The objective was to make clean cooking fuel, such as LPG, available to rural area houses. The launch took place in Uttar Pradesh.
