R Ashwin to play for 3rd Test against England

Ashwin did not get an opportunity in the first two Tests against England. But R Ashwin is set to return to the playing 11 in the third Test.

The third test game of the five-match test series between India and England got scheduled to play in Leeds at Headingley Ground. Despite winning at Lord's Test, Team India will change the playing 11, which starts on August 25. According to reports, R Ashwin, the world's number one spin bowler, is ready to play at Headingley.

R Ashwin has not yet played in the previous series against England. Over R Ashwin in the first two test matches, India has preferred Ravindra Jadeja. One of the reasons is batting of Jadeja got priority. But Jadeja did not contribute that much to the team in bowling.

Ravindra Jadeja has contributed successfully in batting so far in the first two test matches of the series. Ravindra Jadeja managed to play a crucial 40-run innings in the second Test match, and in the first Test match, he scored a half-century. Ravindra Jadeja, however, was not able to take any wicket in two Tests matches against England.

Team India again to take on the four fast bowlers to the field.

Although in the Test match at Lord's, team India was considering getting on the field with two spin bowlers. R Ashwin has himself stated that to be ready for the second Test match. But before the game, due to rain, India decided to take on the four fast bowlers to the field.

In the Lord's Test, all four of India's fast bowlers did well and managed to take 19 wickets out of 20. In the Headingley Test, team India can give Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Ishant Sharma a chance to play 11. Besides, R Ashwin will also get a place as an all-rounder in the team. Ashwin also recently scored a century in the Test series against England.
