Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli to be questioned

After the fourth Test match at The Oval, Ravi Shastri attended functions, including how Ravi Shastri launched his book from the last few days. Virat Kohli was also present at the book launch.

Ravi Shastri, the Indian cricket team's head coach, and captain Virat Kohli are not likely to cross-question their attending functions after the former fielding coach R Sridhar and bowling coach Bharat Arun tested positive for COVID-19. "Covid-19 can happen to anyone. The government has removed restrictions and opened movement at United Kingdom. So, people are allowed to move freely," said a top Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official to news agency IANS.

The trio will miss attending the fifth and final Test at Old Trafford, Manchester, from September 10 to 14. The lockdown in England had ended in July while India was playing the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton.

During the period after the WTC final, the team members had visited Wimbledon and Euro 2020 matches. Rishabh Pant had tested positive immediately after returning from watching a Euro 2020 match.
