Manchester City prepared to pay €150m to sign Harry Kane.

Manchester City is ready to pay €150m (£127m) for Harry Kane if they indicate from Tottenham that Man City can do a deal.

The Spurs have insisted Kane is not for sale despite the striker’s desire to leave for the city, and they have turned down a £100m offer from the Premier League champions. It thought £150m could tempt Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, to sell, but the bid getting readied by the city falls short of that.

The Man city is not giving up and is waiting to see how the situation opens. Kane will return to group training for Tottenham on Friday, provided his Covid test on Thursday is negative.

Pep Guardiola confirmed last Friday that City wants to bring in Harry Kane in a move that would shatter the British transfer record they set last week of £100m by signing Jack Grealish.

The manager said.

“If The Spurs don’t want to negotiate, it’s finished,”

“If Tottenham are open to negotiate, I think not just Manchester City but many clubs in the world try to sign him.”

Harry Kane is trying to get through a move to the Man city and presume he has a gentleman’s agreement with Daniel Levy that would allow him to move. Levy’s explanation of events is different, and he does not want to let go of the club’s most crucial player Harry Kane, who has three years on his contract.

The Spurs had told Kane to report for pre-season training on Monday of last week after giving him a three-week post-Euro 2020 holiday. Still, the England captain chose to remain on holiday in the Bahamas and Florida, angering the club to where they considered him acceptable.

Kane reported over the weekend but has had to isolate for five days, visiting Amber-list travel destinations. He underwent a Covide test to release on Thursday, but that could not turn the result around in time to work with his Comrades. Harry Kane fired a statement last week in which he said he had said no to train at his boyhood club and gave suggestions that he was returning “as planned” on Saturday.

The Man City would listen to offers for Gabriel Jesus, it is understood, should they sign Harry Kane. But if he or another striker is not acquired, then the Brazilian will stay. There are not currently any suitors for Gabriel Jesus.
