Messi will end their 20-year career with Barcelona after the Argentine superstar disagreed on a new deal with the Spanish club announced.

Last month, six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi, 34, finally fetch a major intl trophy with Argentina when they beat Brazil to win Copa America Trophy.

But there had been uncertainty to carry on with Barcelona ever since he tried to leave last August, specify a clause in his contract, and say the club had "no project or anything for a more extended period.
