WhatsApp soon let users access the one account on multiple smartphones

WhatsApp users would know that presently, one account can only be linked to one smartphone. This means if you are using WhatsApp on one phone and cannot access it with the same number on another mobile phone.

User has the option of relying on laptops or desktops for WhatsApp Web. But WhatsApp Web does not work on mobile browsers or tablets, so since the other device access is limited to PCs. However, this could soon change.

As per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s beta update ( version 2.22.10.13) indicates a new feature soon. The report also adds that ”WhatsApp is also working on bringing the ability to link mobile devices in future app updates.” So yes, you could soon connect WhatsApp from one main phone to other mobile devices, if needed. Users need to keep in mind the feature is still under development, and not every beta user will see it.

The report also adds that this will be the second version of multi-device support, launched last year. For instance, WhatsApp Web’s Multi-device permission is limited to four devices, independent of the primary smartphone to which the account is linked.

The new upcoming feature could check the settings with the section called“Register Device as Companion.” When a user opens WhatsApp on a secondary mobile device, this will appear. It looks like this will work by scanning a QR code as WhatsApp web does at the present moment. Users will also be able to link Android tablets as a secondary device in the future, adds the report.
